Wednesday, August 3- Another Great Day!
Today we had a typical, amazing day on Michlelet!
We started out the day with our usual learning, and right after lunch we were privileged to hear from David Cutler, the NCSY Director of Summer Programs and Finances. We were given the opportunity to thank him for all of his hard work that he puts in to make our summer amazing! In the afternoon, we had an interesting and enlightening Question and Answer session with Rav Sobolofsky, the rav of Ohr HaTorah in Bergenfield, NJ, where the girls were able to ask their own questions to the Rav. Our nightly guest speaker was Mrs. Shira Smiles- one of our teachers here on Michlelet- who spoke about making Torah and Mitzvot meaningful and not rote.
Tonight we had FEAR FACTOR- an incredibly fun night activity, where the madrichot are challenged to do disgusting or hard things such as holding their breath in a fishtank, standing in a bucket of ice, eating interesting concoctions of food... There was a round for the campers as well, where they had to eat chocolate spread without their hands. Everyone laughed a lot and had a really great night!
