Crazy Fun Sunday!
After our out-Shabbos this past weekend, it was really nice getting back to campus, seeing our friends, and sharing our 'chavayot' (experiences) with everyone. Even though it was only 36 hours spent apart, we all really missed each other and are so happy to be back!
We started off this week, Michlelet style, hosting the TJJ Ambassador girls for a day of learning, chessed, sports and fun! We had a morning of classes and learning groups, followed by an early lunch. After lunch we headed down to the busses and made our way to Tzomet Bina where we had the incredible zechut (privilege) to gather potatoes for needy people through the organization, Leket Israel. We had so much fun doing this great mitzvah (good deed), hanging out with the TJJ girls, and experiencing Israel in a very unique way!
Our afternoon of chessed was followed by a great TJ Ambassadors vs Michlelet NCSY basketball game in the indoor, state-of-the-art gym! The girls played hard and the crowd all cheered each other on! Everyone had a great time!
Dinner followed the basketball game and the girls once again talked and made friends over food. We then had an amazing guest speaker, Rabbi Gavriel Friedman, a noted Aish HaTorah lecturer, speak to us about the importance of inner reflections, this week's theme! His speech was enlightening, interesting, and entertaining!
The speech was followed by an amazing night activity! The advisors hid in different locations around campus holding bottles of paint. The girls had to run around and find the 'missing' madrichot. Once found, the counselors would paint a stripe of color on the girls' arms and the girls would continue on to the next advisor! The girl with the most colors on her arm at the end of the night, won! We all ended up with some pretty colorful arms and lot of laughs!
Stay tuned for more fun!
