Our last full day on Michlelet has come to a close! :( We enjoyed chaburas, classes, and activities for the last time and tonight had our end of the summer banquet. We watched a video recapping the whole summer, heard reflections from different campers, heard performances from choir and dance, and more! We also received gifts from the camp, our tshirts and sweatshirts, and our yearbooks. It's hard to believe that we're almost at the end!!! August 6-7
Yesterday was spent on campus, enjoying our classes, chaburas, and activities which will soon be coming to an end :( We were also lucky to be visited during free time by Hadaya jewelry and TeeLee shells, heard from our incredible guest speaker, Chana Shukrun, and had a blast at our night activity - Human Board Games! We had a fabulous 3 day tiyul up north which included building rafts on the Kineret in Teveria, Shabbos in Tzfat, a motzei shabbos cruise, and kayaking down the Jordan River today!
It's hard to believe the last week of camp is here...can't wait to make it the best one yet!

Today was exciting as our chesed trip actually came to us today instead of our usual traveling around, as we ran a carnival for kids from a day camp in Sderot. For our guest speaker this evening we were privileged to hear from Rabbi Hadar Margolin, and then we continued on to a most scrumptious night activity - Cupcake Wars! We had a fantastic day on campus today with classes, chaburas, and activities. We enjoyed hearing from 3 special speakers: Rabbi Steven Burg, Dr. David Luchins, and Rav Mayer Twersky. Tonight, we had our annual Michlelet NCSY vs. NCSY GIVE basketball game! Check out our latest pictures to see the awesome Michlelet jerseys which we received today to get into the spirit! After an incredibly special and meaningful Tisha Bav experience here in Eretz Yisroel, we had a full day today filled with chaburas, classes, and activities. Later in the day we heard a shiur from Rabbi David Katz of MMY and headed off to Yom NCSY! We enjoyed a delicious bbq dinner, concert with Shlomo Katz and Chaim Dovid, and of course, showing our tremendous NCSY pride.

July 25-26
We had an INCREDIBLE past 2 days competing for victory in Michlelet Color War 2012!!! The teams were blue (shamayim) and yellow (aretz). Competitions included everything from sports to panoply to an apache relay with the highlight being tonight's color war finale where each team presented their banner, camp gift, stomp presentation, Hebrew song, and team theme song.
We are looking forward to a meaningful Shabbos Chazon here on campus as we prepare for Tisha Bav coming up on Sunday.

We spent today on a very meaningful tiyul for the 9 Days which included visits to Mearas Hamachpeila, Yad v'shem, Har Hertzl, and Kever Rachel.
On our way back to camp for dinner we were shocked and excited to be given the news of COLOR WAR BREAKOUT!

We had a great day on campus today with chaburas, classes, and activities. Tonight's special guest speaker was Mrs. Esther Wachsman and we then enjoyed a hilarious night activity called "banana measures" - we measured stuff all around camp using bananas as our rulers! Can you guess how tall Mrs. Yudin is in bananas?

We all enjoyed a wonderful and restful free shabbos with family and friends throughout Israel and returned last night ready for another fabulous week. Today was our last day with TJJ Ambassadors - we are sad to see them go but had a great experience and hope to keep in touch! See below for a video recapping our 3 days spent together with them. What a day! Not only were we lucky to have classes, chaburas, and activities, but we were even luckier to be joined once again for the day with TJJ Ambassadors! Late this afternoon we prepared for, decorated, and hosted the bridal shower for our kallah. Afterwards we heard from our guest speaker, Rabbi Gavriel Friedman, and finally, we had our annual basketball game - Michlelet vs. TJJ Ambassadors! We had a blast yesterday on our tiyul! We braved the heat outside at Masada and the Dead Sea and were then luckily able to cool off in the beautiful waterfalls of Ein Gedi! We returned to camp for dinner and then were treated to a very special surprise - shana bet "broke out" the bridal shower we will be making and hosting on Thursday for a needy kallah (part one of our entire chesed experience - later this summer IY"H we will be making and hosting their wedding)! We've had a fabulous start of the week here at Michlelet NCSY!! We all rested up and rejuvenated over our free shabbos and came back ready for more camp!!! On Sunday we took a special chesed trip to Shaarei Tzedek hospital and Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital to do medical clowning - we got all dressed up and it felt great to give to others in such a special way! Today was incredible!!! We woke up early to go greet the Nefesh b'Nefesh flight carrying 229 new olim to Israel - it was a truly special and emotional experience! We then came back to campus to rest and continued with our chaburas and classes. Tonight we heard a special guest shiur from Rabbi Ally Ehrman and then we were treated to an awesome game show night activity! We are all packed and heading out for our free shabbos! We had a FANTASTIC trip to Eilat on Tuesday and Wednesday which included hiking, rappelling, banana boating, tubing, snorkling, and more!

Today we enjoyed chaburas, classes, and activities on campus in addition to special shiurim given by guest speakers Rabbi Kenneth Brander, Dean of the Center for the Jewish Future at Yeshiva University, and Mrs. Shira Smiles, popular seminary teacher and lecturer throughout Israel and the US. We had a wonderful and meaningful Michlelet day today in honor of Shiva Asar b'Tammuz, which included a "pay it forward" program, shiurim and videos throughout the day, and a beautiful sunset kumzitz outdoors as the fast ended. Today was a very exciting day on Michlelet as we got our first taste of some Michlelet staples - chaburas with our madrichot, classes with our fabulous teachers, and on campus activities! In the afternoon, we went on our first chessed trip to the neighboring community of Ramat Beit Shemesh. Welcome to Michlelet!
Michelet 2012 has officially begun!! We are all having a blast! We had a great flight from JFK and landed safely in Ben Gurion Airport on Tuesday afternoon.
