The penultimate morning shiurim of the summer gave way midday to Chabura Trips. These outings served the purpose of cementing the chabura binds that had been developed all summer, and providing a fun respite in an intense week. Each madrich planned his own trip- some creative, some laid back, and all fun.

Back in Bet Meir there was another round of playoff sports. But the sports highlight of the day was the annual Rebbe-NCSYer basketball game. Despite losing stalwarts Rav Isaacson and Rav Reich, the Rabbeim entered the game bursting with confidence and riding an impressive three-year win streak.

Of course these NCSY All Stars were not around for those games, so from their perspective, the NCSYers were the heavy favorites. The Rabbeim got off to a somewhat sluggish start, and after a few minutes it looked like the NCSYers might enjoy a blowout. But led by the steady play of Rabbi Yudin and Rabbi Turetsky, the Rabbeim fought back and took a late one point lead. It was a tense battle, but in the end youth prevailed, and the NCSYers took home the victory.
