New Modes of Communication

Bus 1 spent the day in the Tel Aviv area, working alongside the visually impaired in a factory in Ramat Gan and then heading to Save A Child's Heart, to spend time with children who are waiting to receive heart transplants. We then headed to Shuk HaCarmel to shop and get to see a cultural side of Tel Aviv.

Bus 2 started off the day with medical clowning at Icholov Hospital and then traveled to Shalva, an organization which provides free services for children with mental disabilities.

Both groups then met up for dinner before making our way to Na La'gaat, a play performed by blind and deaf actors who use the stage as a forum of teaching the audience about their struggles and triumphs. It was a very powerful and moving performance which we highly recommend to anyone visiting the Tel Aviv area. After the show, we had the chance to communicate with the actors through the assistance of interpreters and let them know how greatly we appreciated their openness and talents.

We then hopped on the buses towards Mevaseret to get ready for the upcoming free weekend!
