Seeing The Sights- Washington, DC
On Monday, July 11th, Camp Sports made its way to Washington, DC in the afternoon. Campers had the opportunity to walk around the nation's capital. Campers were dropped off in front of the National Air and Space Museum located on Independence Ave. NCSY'ers had the chance to see actual aircrafts from NASA, enjoy the exhibits and the Air Conditioning!
NCSY'ers were also given the opportunity to spend time at the Holocaust Museum, which was the first time for many of hte NCSY'ers who went.
For those who chose not to go to the Museum of National Air and Space, had the opportunity to walk around and see some of the other sights that Washington has to offer. One of the highlights was doing the Cha Cha as a group of 30 on the lawn across from the Museum!
To finish off the day, we headed to a beautiful park in Washington, DC to end the day with a grand BBQ. The park is surrounded by water on both sides, with planes taking off from BWI Airport to the right and Military Helicopters from the left.
NCSY'ers enjoyed some sports in the park and headed home, tired and very full.
